PPMHC Donation Prenatal Workshop

In honor of Maternal Mental Health month, we are hosting a donation prenatal workshop Sunday, June 4th from 9-11am at Bryony & Birch Studio, 48 Main Street, Amesbury, MA 01913. 100% of registration fees will be donated to Pentucket Perinatal Mental Health Coalition.

Prenatal yoga class led by Kerri LeBlanc-- RYT, Prenatal/Postnatal CPT:

Kerri is a local full-time high school wellness teacher and mother of two. A registered yoga teacher and NASM certified personal trainer, she is a movement enthusiast. She has a special passion for pregnancy and postpartum, earning her prenatal yoga certification from Rooted Boston, and recently completing her pre/postnatal course with Mamastefit. Presenation and Q&A with Arlene Lammy-- Holistic Birth/Postpartum Doula, CLE:

Arlene Lammy (she/her) is a Black doula and Certified Lactation Educator serving Northern Boston and Southern New Hampshire areas. She practices within the lens of Full Spectrum reproductive care and is a former Early Childhood Education teacher. Arlene's career as a doula was catapulted by being witness to the birth of her nephew. Arlene has trained with midwife Shafia Monroe, and is committed to continuing the legacy of traditional African American midwifery practices. As the daughter of Caribbean immigrants, Arlene's work serves to bridge gaps between ancestral traditions and modern family life. Arlene is dedicated to the care and support of all birthing people and feels called to support growing families and women's lifetime health. She can be found on her Instagram: newwave_doula.

Presentation and Q&A with Darcie Pervier--Pelvic Floor Therapist:

Darcie is a women's health specialist with over 20 years of experience, helping women to understand and treat root causes of dysfunction in order to optimize health and wellbeing. She is a trained pelvic floor physical therapist and Performance Enhancement specialist who takes a whole person approach to providing care and guidance to women. She integrates multiple principles and both musculoskeletal and whole body wellbeing to allow women to achieve their individual goals. She can be found on her Instagram: newburyportwellness. 

Pentucket Perinatal Mental Health Coalition:

Started in August 2015, the Pentucket Perinatal Mental Health Coalition is a grassroots community organization with over 17 community partners, including Anna Jaques Hospital, Early Intervention, Head Start, Healthy Families, doulas, lactation counselors, and various mental health clinicians and prescribers. Seving the towns of Amesbury, Boxford, Haverhill, Georgetown, Groveland, Merrimac, Newbury, Newburyport, Salisbury, and West Newbury with a mission to improve maternal emotional health in the Pentucket area through education, collaboration, support and advocacy.
